PROJECT DESCRIPTION
EXPLODING THE EVOLUTION MYTH:
I. Objectives of Proposal
A. The primary purpose of Cinco Talentos Mídia is to produce resources which uphold the literaral accuracy and evangelistic necessity of God’s Word and to make these resources available in multiple languages around the world.
B. The specific objective of the “Evolution Myth” project is to produce a series of films in DVD format that directly attacks the scientific deception which underpins most evolutionary teaching, in as many languages as possible.
C. The specific plan for the “Evolution Myth” project is to produce a series of high quality feature length films which are produced in English with the specific purpose of being translatable into multiple languages with a minimum of effort.
D. The films would follow a set pattern with the following characteristics:
1) The films would be of a documentary nature, filmed in English emphasizing vivid video sequences of nature and other scientific evidences as well as computer animated graphic sequences which support the script.
2) Creation scientists would be filmed on-location wherever possible giving their explanation of scientific evidences from a Young Earth Creationist perspective. These interviews would be filmed with the intention of being translated and dubbed into foreign languages for the foreign language versions of the films (this involves cuts and bridges which leave time for longer audio segments in foreign languages than what is required in English).
3) Instead of a traditional “Narrator” the films will use a “presenter” edited on a separate track on the editing timeline. The presenter will occasionally be full screen, but in general will be visible as a Picture In Picture inset in a lower or upper corner, or not visible but with audio active.
Each language version would have it’s own presenter – a native speaker of the target language who would be filmed in a local studio equipped with green screen and teleprompter technologies. The presenter for each language would not have to be a scientist but would have to be an excellent communicator who is a born again Christian and friendly to the creation message, preferably a young adult. By using this technique, the basic content of the film would be identical in each language version except that the presenter would not be a dubbed in American, but a native speaker, giving the feeling of a film produced in that language. This is a new approach that, to my knowledge, has never been done before.
II. Plan of Attack
A. Define the Purpose and Objectives for the “Evolution Myth” Project (EMP) including a brief description of film characteristics.
B. Define a clear plan of attack for making the EMP a reality.
C. Define a basic outline of content for each of the proposed films in the series.
D. Seek endorsements from creationist organizations and scientists.
E. Write the script for the first film and seek professional enhancements and recommendations.
F. Establish a basic first film budget and target dates and acquire funding for the project.
G. Secure the assistance and collaboration of capable individuals to help with the technical aspects of film content, scientific accuracy, presentation quality, filming technique, audio quality, computer animated graphics, editing style, DVD authoring and marketing procedures.
H. In collaboration with select creation scientists, invite, schedule, plan and film on-site interviews in locations that will lend credibility to the basic message of the film.
I. Film and edit with the specific intention of making the product as “translation friendly” as possible.
J. Author and market the DVD in English first.
K. Seek help of foreign missionaries to translate finished script and secure national talent for dubbing scientists interviews, and a national “Presenter”.
L. Pay presenter to procure filming in local studio with green screen and teleprompter technologies. Forward presenter film clips to Cinco Talentos Mídia for mounting and production of language specific versions of each film.
